COR - Community Orientation & Reintegration
Mr. Carlson and Ms. Hare represent the PA CareerLink Oil Region as members of the COR Team. This responsibility is shared between three (3) offices to present CareerLink services to inmates prior to their release.
Venango County Veterans' Coalition
Mr. Carlson represents the PA CareerLink Oil Region as the coordinator of this program. Services are provided to our veterans assisting them with job search services. The Coalition meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month.
Rapid Response Team
Ms. Hare, Ms. Schell, & Ms. Gonzales in conjunction with the Erie Rapid Response Coordinator represent the PA CareerLink Oil Region at meetings with employers in preparation for large group lay-offs. Employers are provided with information on how to file TAA Petitions and apply for unemployment benefits.
PREP Orientation
Mr. Crouch, along with the other TEAM Players, represent the PA CareerLink Oil Region in presenting group orientations held here at the CareerLink. The program brings unemployment claimants into the CareerLink that have been profiled to participate in the PREP program. The claimants are presented with a powerpoint presentation of CareerLink Services, assistance is provided in enrolling/updating their information on the CareerLink website, individuals interviews with a CareerLink staff member are provided to discuss their individual employment plans.
Trade Adjustment Act (TAA) Program
Ms. Hare and Ms. Gonzales represent the PA CareerLink Oil Region to ensure this Federal program is carried out expeditiously. This program is designed to assist workers who have lost their jobs due to foreign imports. Affected workers may be entitled to receive employment benefits such as training, job search allowance and relocation. Workers may be eligible for TRA (Trade Readjustment Allowances) and Federal Tax Credits for the cost of health insurance. All benefits must be applied for separtely and timely. Benefits are pending approval of petition filed.
New Directions Program
Ms. Brumbaugh and Ms. Hare represent the PA CareerLink Oil Region as this program assists individuals in obtaining meaningful full-time employment.
Choices Program
Ms. Burchfield and Ms. Gonzales represent the PA CareerLink Oil Region in making this program available enabling individuals to realize their goals by seeing how identifying their interests, values and skills relate to their best options for more meaningful employment. |
